Louisville Water Company Pipeline Extension

Location: Jefferson County, Kentucky

Geotechincal Engineer: Vector Engineers, Inc.

A proposed transmission line will extend 28,677 linear feet along interstate 64
to extend and expand the Louisville water system. Vector Engineers, Inc was
retained to provide geotechnical engineering consulting which consisted of
drilling soil test borings every 500 feet along the alignment and drilling rock
soundings every 100 feet along the alignment. The terrain was rolling and
required sections to be cleared and access was limited. In addition, Vector
was required to obtain permission from property owners to access private
property. The project was successfully completed within the time required by
CDM to complete their design to the Louisville Water Company.
